Early Fall Trends!

Fall is here and I am so ready for it! After a fun hot girl summer, its time for the leaves to fall & new fall fashion! We’re talking tall boots, babydoll dresses, leather pants and most importantly black! I mean I wear black all year round….but it just hits different in the fall!! Sharing with you some of my favorite looks & trends from NYFW as we kick off the new season

This first look was one of my (unexpected) faves! Slit pants have been around for a while but I feel like they’re really in high-gear this season. These pants are from Camila Coelho Collection via REVOLVE and the twist here is that you can tie it up at the waist! I was feeling a bit bloated so I kept things simple with this all-black look but I’m definitely going to wear these again soon and tie up those strings! The pants are so comfy yet slimming, just how I like it!

With Fall you can never go wrong with leather pants and it’s a trend that NEVER goes out of style! I don’t care how hard anyone tried to cancel leather pants, its not happening! (that and high waisted jeans – not letting that one go either)

I got this pair from Majorelle Collection via REVOVLE last year but sharing a few available options below!

A chic trend that I’ve been loving is the button vest – I have several from Abercrombie, some that are linen which was perfect for summer and now a black and beige one for fall!

We love a good matching set! Theres something about monochrome that elevates any look and brings things together. If you can’t tell, I have an affinity for all shades of green this season but any monochrome look is a STUNNER!

Billie Knit Top https://rvlv.me/TDnvqv

Billie Skirt: https://rvlv.me/yUNXNP

Another look I adored was the knee high boots with a short dress! It serves as the perfect transitional look for fall and you can layer it according to your style and weather! Dress is LPA via REVOLVE and Boots are Zara

alright that’s a wrap on some of my early fall favorites and trends! Stay tuned for more :)

Issa Hot Girl Summer

THE WORLD IS OPENING UP AND IT TRULY IS A HOT GIRL SUMMER!! You guys know I’ve been loving alll the trends that are out there for SS21 so I figured I’d do a round up of my favorite things that are must haves while you’re living your best life under the sun! :)

Alright so a pop of color is something that never goes out of summer style! What is important to highlight here is the year of bra-crop tops! I love this white top because it is so versatile and can be styled with so many different kinds of bottoms. Here I have paired it with the Tais Mini Skirt via Camila Coehlo Collection at REVOLVE! I love love love her style and her clothing line is filled with some fire pieces this summer!

Top (wearing size 1): Lulu Top

Skirt (TTS: small): Tais Mini Skirt

Patterned shirts are another trend that has been taking over social media. Whether you’re styling them for a day/night out on the town or throwing it over a swimsuit with the buttons open - I feel like this trend can elevate any look!

Shirt: Love Sleeve Shirt via Tell Your Friends at REVOLVE (wearing a small)

Orange you noticing a trend here? haha after a depressing and dark year, its time to bring out those vibrant and colorful pieces you’ve been avoiding! I know I got used to wearing neutrals but we’re stepping out and making a ROGYBV statement baby!

Dress: Margaret Mini Dress via Lovers + Friends

Petal and Pup has been a new brand that I’ve been enjoying this year! They’re originally based in Australia and we all know how lovely Australian boutique fashion is! I love love love their collection and it just screams summer to me! This is a cool shirt that caught my eye! These white denims are from madewell. Literally swear by madewell jeans till I die. they fit so well and are so comfy!

Top: Short Sleeve Top (wearing small)

Jeans: Crop Jeans in White (wearing size 25)

L*SPACE is a brand I’ve long loved and they just came out with activewear!!! Their collection is so cute - I’m already addicted to the cuts and the support they provide!

Linking the sports bra worn above here

Wearing size small!

This was a set I didn’t get to wear on vacation because it didn’t deliver in time but I am so glad I shot it :) Its the perfect vacation look that you can buy as separates and style in various ways or pair together!

Top: Iris Top (wearing small)

Skirt: Iris Skirt (wearing small)

Really glad its become socially acceptable to wear bralettes in public - finally I feel like I fit in! haha! No but seriously, I was always the one converting swimsuit tops into “dressy” tops or crop tops with a blazer or just over trousers and it always felt chic! I am so glad this is a trend that is here to stay for a bit! This cotton bralette is super cute and dainty - another statement but staple piece to add to your closet!

Top: Dari Bralette (wearing size small - maybe could’ve gone smaller with the looser straps)

HOT OFF THE PRESS! OKAY SO normally, I’d run in the opposite direction of patterned pants but mannnn, something about these Reformation pants and a few others spoke to me this summer and I NEEDED to snag these! I’ve seen pants with kooky designs and line scribbes but these comic covered pants are quite the statement. Love that they’re high waisted, a bit stretchy but sooo flattered. My butt looks great in it tbh. Also Reformation is known for sustainability so investing in a piece like this is worth it :)

Pants: Newsprint High Rise Jeans

Cool Fall Trend: Asymmetrical Tops!

Every season always comes with a new set of trends but here is a trend that’s been around for a year now! I’ve always been a fan of asymmetrical pieces, whether its a one shoulder dress or a skirt, there is something that makes that cut super edgy or chic depending on the design! One thing I was definitely keen on styling for NYFW was this asymmetrical sweater I found at Zara! It’s a ribbed sweater (neutrals for the win). I figured this would be a great staple piece for fall seeing that you could wear this on jeans or leather leggings or tuck it into a skirt!

Palm Trees and Sunny Days

Warning: Shooting this outfit in the desert heat was a B*TCH so I apologize if I look like I’m baking in these pictures because I basically was.

Anyways, let’s talk about this two piece romper!

This was my first two piece romper set that I had bought for the summer. Besides the very obvious fact that it’s mustard yellow and covered in palm trees (I love the combo), the cut of the crop top was more intriguing to me! It’s perfect for going out to a day party or ya know, a summer music festival! I paired it with a straw bag and nude heels to add length to my legs and to keep things neutral since the set is colorful and loud. I am aware I am top heavy so I did get a bit self conscious with the cleavage but pairing it up with a necklace and keeping my hair down gives it a more bohemian vibe! The romper shorts fit true to size and you can tie the crop top multiple ways! I highly recommend wearing the top with a cute matching bralette to add more texture!

Before I get into my outfit details, I just wanna say..going to Miami and exploring all t has to offer outside of Ocean Drive (which is mainly where I have spent most of my time) was a surprising treat! There are so many cool spots and things to check out, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is one of them and so easy to get to! GRAM SHOTS EVERYWHERE.

We all know how much I am obsessed with yellow/mustard hues but this boho two piece trumps everything. It might just be my favorite look for the summer! It is similar to a Free People set that comes in various colors, but it’s perfect for a vacation getaway or a pool party! It's super flowy and covers you in the right areas. The design overall has a lot going on so I paired it with tassle earrings from Tobi that adds a pop of color and some nude heels!

Don’t Wine, Work It Out

If someone told me to wear athleisure everyday, I’d be more than happy to oblige! Growing up, I played tennis and danced so I was always in some kinda work out outfit and it became a staple in my closet. For me personally, the motivation to stay active comes from the desire to consistently look and feel my best in a sports bra and leggings. The second I feel like something isn’t fitting the way it should, I hit up Classpass and get my life in check! Haha. This outfit here is one. of. my. faves. The wine red during the winter time keeps things warm and sexy in the brutal cold (yas here in houston, it gets chilly!!)! Not to mention this Ultracor Mesh Zip Up Bomber adds swag to anything I pair it with! Check out the details for each product below!

I found this sweater while randomly strolling into Francesca’s at the Galleria one Saturday morning and immediately took it to the cashier even though it wasn’t my size. I intentionally it in a medium because I wanted to have a cozy oversized sweater without I.t making me look like I had a gut of sorts! This piece definitely played up my shoulders and I love how the wrap detail sits on me! Its perfect for at home chillin or even airport looks (I flew in this all the way to Bali, not itchy whatsoever #blest) !

As soon as I saw these shorts on Zara, I HAD to get them! I think they’re versatile in the sense that they can be paired with different blouses of different colors and I plan to do exactly that! This color combo is very winter friendly but I do think the black could be paired with brighter colors!

December is, just like most other people, one of my favorite times of the year. Besides my birthday and summer of course! Ha. I love that everyone’s in such a happy mood because of the holidays and it also gives me time to reflect on the year and prep for the next.

This will be my 2nd year enjoying the holidays in Texas versus Chicago/Michigan and boy, I am such a fan! Mainly because I’m not bundled up in my puffy parka jacket and can actually wear cute/festive pieces! This checkered shirt dress has been in my closet for a while now and I could never find the right occasion to wear it until now! Funny how that works out! It’s so soft and easy to throw on, pairing it with my OTK boots really completed the look. I’ll definitely be wearing this to a family get together this month!

The Yellow puns don’t get old for me and neither does this color!! It has been a recent development of mine to venture into the skirt domain. While my go-to for a night out on the town is usually a mini skirt, it was time to change things up and this yellow piece from boohoo had me floored! Perfect for a fancy dinner, bridal/baby shower or a family get together, I think pairing this with a white or black blouse, or in this case body suit, will do wonders for your next best look this holiday season!

I’m not going to lie, I have been on the LOOK OUT for a dress with a decently high slit for fall wedding season and this wrap dress made the cut! THANK YOU LULU! I love the gold specks that prevent the black maxi and floral pattern from looking dull and basic. I’m not one for heavy patterns but I’ve been trying to explore some options this year and things are looking up! I’m feeling myself in this one for sure! Another thing I loved about this piece is that you don’t need to have tooo many accessories to make it look tasteful, the dress speaks volumes by itself.

Earrings: Charming Charlie’s (shout out to my girl Katie for throwing these my way! One of my favorite earrings!)
