Besides the fact I look like the Home Alone robbers, I have to say I'm in LOVE with this look I put together for winter. Holidaying in Michigan was brutal to say the least but this Michael Kors camel coat saved the day and how!

I'm not gonna lie, finding the right one piece/monokini is much more difficult than a regular bikini! The past couple months, I had set a few goals for myself in the diet/work out realm that I had accomplished so I decided to push the envelope with my swimwear! This black piece from ASOS is quite the looker; between the deep plunge and flattering cut around the waist, this could look great on just about any body type! My theme for our fall break trip was allblack (which you'll see in the next posts as well) I figured with the seasonal changes and holidays approaching, something bright wouldn't mesh well on the beach.

Swimsuit: ASOS

Sunnies: Topman at Topshop

Hat: Forever 21 (if you ever find good accessories, especially hats and purses at this store, just buy them. Every time I decided to stall, the piece I was looking at goes missing)

Did You Mesh Me Or What?

Like I mentioned earlier, black was my theme for this fall break trip and I took FULL advantage of it. Since I was a kid going on family vacations, I always made sure I planned my clothes ahead of time (or my parents made me pack but the former sounds better)..as a result of that, I try to not repeat outfits on trips and keep things interesting and budget friendly! After hours of searching for the right black one piece, I stumbled across this on Nasty Gal (bless their chapter 11 hearts at the moment) and decided to give it a shot. Since the new trends tend to be on the riskier side of fashion, I try to stay clear of the hoochie vibe some pieces give off. Overall, I will say that I'm loving the one piece comeback and the variety it brings to the table! My favorite feature is the sheer mesh look, it's a little difficult to see that in the pictures but in person, it has a cool effect! The blue cover up completed the royal-ish look I was going for with the white pillars and all!

A day checking out Mayan Ruins?! Sign me up! I was so excited when we decided to do Mexico and planned to venture out to the Yucatan, but I knew it would be HOT and boy, is that an understatement. I chose to wear a light romper that wouldn't be uncomfortable to survive a 12 hour excursion in 100 degree weather. Luckily, I somehow matched the decor and fit right in!

Romper: She Inside

Sandals: Kenneth Cole (if you haven't noticed, these are one of my go-to pairs)

Okay, I know I know, I'm deviating from my usual focus on one outfit but I had to club these two bikinis because they actually kinda compliment each other. While the previous two monokinis I posted were on the serious/chic side, I felt like these gave off a more fun vibe.

I knew Calvin Klein was big these days in the undergarment line but I did not know they had swimsuits as well! This black strap bandeau and matching bottoms was unlike anything I had seen before so I knew it would be a good one to grab! #MyCalvins

As for the second ruffle swim set, it is from the Victoria's Secret Swim 2016 collection (RIP) and I may or may not have gone ham earlier this year when they announced the end of their swim line (oops?). What I like about it? It can be worn two ways, off the shoulder and boat/box neck style depending on your mood. On top of that, the top is more fitted, giving me as well as others a more toned look! Not mad about it.

You know those moments in life when you buy something but then you get home and you're like "uhh, how do I actually wear this?" OMG YEAH ME TOO.

Well now that we agree on that then I can tell you that's what exactly happened. I got this scarf but I always struggle trying to wrap it the right way so I came up with a little strategy: I folded oblong scarf into a triangular poncho, overlapped corners and tucked the ends into my jeans. By doing so, the scarf is less likely to unravel or fall off and it looks like an oversized sweater or poncho wrap of sorts! Try it out! This look is perfect for late fall and the holiday time, I paired it with a navy long sleeve but you can do white or black as well!

I may have moved to the South but welcoming Fall in the north is a must! :) #PureMichigan

I finally bought my first pair of booties to conform to the southern style and girlllllll, I'm in LOVE. Obviously it's not a surprise that these booties are pretty versatile, so far I've been able to pair them with a few different things from casual to effortlessly dressy. In the coming weeks I'll be posting more as I figure out new ways to rock these.

This black jumpsuit caught my eye while I was walking the alleyway of Venice! This jumpsuit complimented the (unfortunate) gloomy weather of Paris during our stay! I paired it with a choker and kept the jewelry light with just a watch and cuff bracelet.

Venice was a photographers paradise, or just paradise in general! I want to go again! This maxi from Zara had been sitting in my closet all summer and I knew Italy would be the perfect place to wear it. I was going for a sun kissed "Deepika Padukone from Khuda Jaane" look as they filmed the song here a few years back (yes I'm a big DP fan). I only wore a watch and stuck to sandals but if I were to wear this again I'd probably wear heels and hope I don't have to walk too much!

After a long day in the sun, we finally hit the Golden Hour in Cannes. That pre-sunset time is my go-to time of the day, the lighting is just right! I'm all about the offshoulder, as is everyone else at the moment but this orange peach color stood out to me.

I've been trying to wear this skirt for the past year but never found the right time. I know crop tops have been around for a while but I never felt comfortable with it because of my torso. Luckily, I've been more disciplined with my workouts this season so the confidence kicked in and I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!

The south of France lives up to the hype! The weather was amazing so naturally it was time to take out the swim wear! My favorite line of Swimsuits are by Victoria's Secret (unfortunately the announced that they're discontinuing their swim line for God knows what reason). I loved this yellow one because of the racer back design with crochet. The swimsuit coverup is from Akira, my friend Connie gave it to me and it was the perfect match for the suit!

WARM WEATHER HAS ARRIVED AND I'VE NEVER BEEN SO READY. After chopping off my long hair, wearing off the shoulder pieces is my new favorite thing to do! Luckily, every store has loaded up on the off the shoulder crop tops and dresses for the summertime! What I love about this outfit is that even though its kinda matchy matchy, it has a lot of energy and bounce to it. The gold statement necklace has been tough to pair with outfits for a few years now but when I snagged this top, I knew it was meant to be.

Heels: honestly, don't remember. Maybeee Agaci? maybe.

I know, I know. You're only supposed to wear white starting Memorial Day weekend but like...who follows that these days anyway? This outfit is a combination of old pieces in my closet. Besides the top, the pants, shoes and necklace are all from several years ago but still trendy! I've been working on my closet lately and cleaning out stuff that I know I won't be wearing ever again but also trying to cater towards a wardrobe that consists of pieces that will never go out of style. I'm glad these made the cut :)

ZARAAAAAAAAAAAAA, I love you. My true love in the world of retail. Literally the best store on earth.

For those of you who know me well, then you know my healthy but unhealthy obsession with Zara. Since joining the workforce and entering adulthood, I can bet a very large sum on the fact that half of my closet is now Zara and I'm not even mad about it. This year's spring/summer collection has got me hooked! I love the periwinkle pieces  they have, it might be a bit of an overload but I managed to pick up a few tops to mix and match!

First nice day in Chicago so naturally, gotta blog it! I tell you, when Zara goes on sale - it's a sign that God exists! Spring is here people!!

Normally I’m a fan of bright colored swimsuits but this one caught my eye. The gold shimmer was perfect for the bohemian look I was going for in Cabo. I paired this with a “coverup” that I had previously snagged in hopes of attended Lollapalooza or better yet, Coachella..neither which happened. (NEXT YEAR GUYS) I love love lovee this maxi for how free flowing it is and versatile! I can pair it with shorts and a crop or a dress if I was headed some place casual.

So this maxi dress is by FAR my favorite find of 2015 (or maybe all time)! I found it at Agaci which is a popular boutique-esque shop out of Texas! Initially I bought it for Napa but then decided to save it for another time and let me tell you, it worked out perfectly!
